Terms of Service

Effective 2026-08-10 · v1.0

This is a translation for reference. The Korean version governs.

Article 1 (Purpose)

These Terms of Service govern the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between the operator of Maegim (the "Operator") and its users, including the community rules and the procedures for reporting rights infringement and taking temporary measures.

Article 2 (Definitions)

In these Terms, the following definitions apply.

  1. "Service" means all features the Operator provides through the website, including company-analysis information, the community, and watchlists.
  2. "Member" means a person who signs in with a social account and uses personalized features such as watchlists and the community.
  3. "Post" means any content a Member publishes in the community, including posts and comments.
  4. "Author" means the Member who wrote the Post in question.
  5. "Temporary measure" means temporarily blocking (hiding) other users' access to a Post on grounds such as an alleged rights infringement.

Article 3 (Posting and Amendment of the Terms)

① The Operator keeps these Terms permanently accessible via a link in the footer of every page.

② The Operator may amend these Terms within the bounds of applicable law.

③ Amendments are announced on the Service, together with the effective date and the reason, at least 7 days before they take effect — or at least 30 days for changes that are material or unfavorable to Members.

④ A Member who keeps using the Service without objecting by the announced effective date is deemed to have accepted the amended Terms. A Member who does not accept may stop using the Service and terminate under Article 12.

Article 4 (Nature of the Service)

① All analytical information the Service provides — grades, scores, indicators — is mechanically derived from public data (regulatory filings and public APIs). It is reference material computed by a fixed formula without human judgment, and it is neither a solicitation to trade any security nor investment advice for any individual user.

② The Operator is not a financial investment business or a quasi-investment advisory business, and does not provide investment advice or stock recommendations to individual users.

③ Analytical information may differ from reality due to errors, corrections, or delays in the source data; the Operator does not warrant its accuracy, completeness, or timeliness.

④ Analytical information is in principle refreshed once per business day, but updates may be delayed due to circumstances of the source institutions.

⑤ Investment decisions made with reference to information provided by the Service, and their outcomes, are the sole responsibility of the user.

Article 5 (Accounts)

① Membership is created by signing in with a Kakao, Naver, or Google social account. The Operator does not collect or store passwords; authentication is performed by each social provider.

② Persons under 14 years of age may not register as Members.

③ Members are responsible for keeping their social accounts secure and must notify the Operator without delay if account theft is suspected.

④ The Operator may require a change of nickname if it infringes another person's rights or violates the law or these Terms.

Article 6 (Provision, Change, and Suspension of the Service)

① The Service is provided free of charge; personalized features such as watchlists are available to signed-in Members.

② The Operator may change or add to the Service and will give prior notice of changes that are material to Members.

③ The Service may be temporarily suspended for unavoidable reasons such as maintenance, outages, or interruption of source data feeds.

④ If the Service is to be permanently discontinued, notice will be posted on the Service 30 days in advance.

Article 7 (Community Rules)

① Members must not engage in any of the following in the community.

  1. Spam, advertising, flooding, or other conduct that disrupts the normal operation of the community
  2. Promoting or soliciting for illegal investment advisory schemes (so-called "leading rooms") or unregistered businesses
  3. Insults, defamation, hate speech, or other conduct that demeans or offends others
  4. Spreading false information or agitating with the aim of manipulating market prices
  5. Infringing the rights of others, including defamation, invasion of privacy, and copyright infringement
  6. Any other conduct that violates the law or public order and morals

② The Operator may impose daily limits on posts, comments, and reports to keep the community stable.

③ Posts violating Paragraph 1 may be hidden or otherwise handled under Articles 9 and 10. Users may report violations via the report feature on each post.

Article 8 (Rights in and Management of Posts)

① Copyright in a Post belongs to the Member who wrote it.

② The Member grants the Operator a license to store, publish, and display the Post to the extent necessary to operate the Service.

③ When a Member deletes a Post, it is no longer displayed to other users. Records of its handling may, however, be retained as set out in the Privacy Policy for legal compliance and dispute response.

④ If a Post violates the law or these Terms, the Operator may take necessary measures such as hiding or deleting it.

Article 9 (Rights-Infringement Reports and Temporary Measures)

① (How to report) Anyone whose rights — such as privacy or reputation — are infringed by a Post may request its deletion or the publication of a rebuttal, substantiating the infringement, via the report feature on the Post or by email (woody.chiz@gmail.com).

② (Measures) Upon receiving a request under Paragraph 1, the Operator takes necessary measures — deletion, temporary measures, and the like — without delay. Where it is difficult to judge whether rights have been infringed, or a dispute between interested parties is expected, the Operator may take a temporary measure blocking access to the Post for up to 30 days.

③ (Notice and public posting) When a measure is taken, the Operator notifies both the requester and the Author. The Author is notified by displaying the reason and time of the measure on the Author's "My Activity" screen, and the fact of the measure is publicly posted on the community's "Moderation Notices" screen.

④ (Objection) An Author who considers a temporary measure unjustified may file an objection (a request for re-publication) by email (woody.chiz@gmail.com) within 30 days of being notified of the measure.

⑤ (Restoration or finalization) The Operator reviews the objection and restores the Post if the objection is found justified. If the objection is found unjustified, or the temporary-measure period expires without an objection, the Operator may finalize the deletion (non-display) of the Post.

⑥ (Measures on the Operator's own initiative) If the Operator discovers a Post that plainly appears to infringe rights, it may take a temporary measure on its own initiative even without a report.

Article 10 (Restriction of Use)

① If a Member violates the community rules in Article 7, the Operator may take escalating measures according to the severity of the violation — hiding Posts, restricting posting, or suspending the account.

② A Member subject to a measure may object by email (woody.chiz@gmail.com); if the objection is found justified, the Operator lifts the measure.

Article 11 (Disclaimer)

① Investment decisions made with reference to information provided by the Service, and their outcomes, are the sole responsibility of the user; the Operator bears no liability for them.

② The Operator is not liable for damage caused by circumstances beyond its control, such as errors, corrections, or delays in source data, natural disasters, or equipment failures.

③ Responsibility for the content of a Post lies with its Author. The Operator has no obligation to intervene in disputes between Members, or between a Member and a third party, arising out of Posts.

④ To the extent no special provision of applicable law provides otherwise, the Operator bears no liability for damages in connection with the free-of-charge Service.

Article 12 (Termination and Withdrawal)

① A Member may request termination of the service agreement (withdrawal) at any time by email (woody.chiz@gmail.com); the Operator processes the request without delay after verifying identity.

② Upon withdrawal, the Member's personal data is destroyed in accordance with the Privacy Policy, and the Member's data within the Service — posts, comments, and the like — is deleted. Records of content moderation are, however, retained in a form that cannot identify the author, for legal compliance and dispute response.

Article 13 (Governing Law, Jurisdiction, and Language)

① These Terms and the use of the Service are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.

② Disputes between the Operator and a Member in connection with the Service shall be brought before the court having jurisdiction under the Civil Procedure Act of Korea.

③ The Korean text of these Terms is authoritative; where the English translation differs in interpretation, the Korean version prevails.

Addendum

These Terms take effect on August 10, 2026.
